What is a Same-Day Restoration?
In many cases, restorative dental procedures such as placing a crown or bridge require more than one visit to the dentist. However, our Thornhill dentists use CEREC technology to perform the entire procedure in one visit.
CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) is a system that allows for the fabrication of same-day ceramic dental restorations - including crowns, bridges, veneers, and inlays and onlays.
Dental Crowns
Crowns are porcelain caps that are placed on top of teeth to restore their function and appearance. Crowns are used to attach bridges, cover implants, repair a cracked tooth, or help restore a discoloured tooth to its natural appearance.
Veneers
Veneers are thin pieces of durable, tooth-shaped porcelain that are custom-made and bonded to the front of your natural tooth to change the symmetry, shape or colour of your smile.
Inlays & Onlays
Inlays and onlays are tooth-coloured porcelain fillings that are used to repair cavities when the damage is too extensive for a standard dental filling, and are typically used for molars.
